Is it really THAT strange???
I decided to get my fat preggo arse back to the gym b/c I have been terrible with keeping myself in shape.
So I walk in and sign up for a treadmill and walk over to fill my water bottle and I can't even tell you how many wierd looks I got from the women there (I go to an all women gym). I even got looks from the women who work there.............
Is it really that strange to see a pregnant woman on a treadmill and on a bike????

I go to a coed gym and lift weights where they are mostly male. They don't mind at all because they probablly just think I have a gut and are not interested in a chick with a belly! BUT, when I go to the cardio side or take a spin class the women are the worst!!! I guess because I am still at an "inbetween" kind of state they stare even longer. I also work with all women and I am lucky if 25% of them look at my face to say hi instead of my belly or butt!

I don't think it's strange at all!!! Why would these women be staring??? What is up with some people?!?!
Good for you that you're getting back in the swing of things. I have an elipitical machine in my house and I haven't been on it in at least 2 months!

I stared at a pregnant women that came into my gym...but it was a smile stare...like I think it's great that you're exercising look...
...because I gave it up as soon as I peed on the stick...
I think it's great you're going to the gym...let them stare...I'd like to see them pregnant in this heat and actually getting to the gym!

Thanks girls - I mean, I could TOTALLY understand if I was running full speed on the tread or taking a high impact class but I managed to only last 20 minutes on the tread and 10 on the bike. I didn't want to overdo it - my husband was a maniac when I told him I was going.
I think next time I go I'm going to wear a skin tight shirt just for laughs............

I used to get stares too so I guess it's not that uncommon. But again, I think people were trying to figure out if I was really pg or just had a big gut. After it became more obvious that it was the former, people stared for shorter periods of time.
