Is it safe to give her a real bath?
Is it safe to give Katie a "real" bath? She lost her unbilical cord on Friday morning.

Yes that's when you can break out the tub --- and the video camera!

YAY! Happy Mother's Day to me! I'm so glad I can give her a bath! I've been waiting for this since we came home.
ETA: One question...how do I know how warm to make the water???

I always stick my elbow in the water to test the temperature. I feel like I read that I should do that somewhere because its more sensitive than your hand, but now that I write it I think I sound crazy heheh. You are going for just warm, not hot water.

We have a little duck that tells you if it is safe.

The plug for our tub changes color when it is too hot but mostly I just go my how it feels. You will get to know how the right temp should feel and for now just test the water out with your elbow (yes, that is what they recommend) and then in time it'll become second nature.
