Is it silly for someone with straight fine hair to buy a flat iron?
My hair's texture has changed and even though it's still straight it gets a little fluffy at times. I tired my friend's flat iron over the weekend and it seemed to smooth it out. I bought a ceramic chi flat iron from Ulta yesterday that cost about $100. Was it worth it?

if your hair gets fluffy or frizzy than I say its totally worth it. My friend has straight silky, what I call pantene hair and she flat irons her hair.

i dont think its a waste. if you just run your hair through it quickly to take the frizz out thats totally worth it!!

Totally agree. I have straight hair but the iron makes a MAJOR difference!!!! 
ETA: And yes, the Chi was totally worth it. That's a great iron! Just make sure you use a heat protectant!

Totally not a waste. I couldn't live without my flat iron & I have naturally straight hair.
