Is it silly if i buy new regular pants now??

I am 9W...all my regular pants still fit me fine, but I am having a dilemma.

I really am in desperate need for some new work pants. I am very petite and i just know when it comes time to look for maternity pants I am going to have a problem.

Anyway, I am thinking about going this weekend to buy new pants in my regular size (which is like a size 0 or 1) just so that I wont look like a frump at work anymore. (most of my work pants are a little big and hanging off my a**) and I feel like I can't even buy new tops till I have pants that fit me decent.

So I figure maybe if I buy them now I can still get away with using them for a little while if I get a bella band. Then hopefully they will fit me again next year.

What do you think? is that just ridiculously silly? Will I be wasting my $?

Kohls had Petite size maternity pants. I was flipping out about this too, but I got 3 pairs of work pants there.

It depends..if they are on sale, and you will wear them again, then I say go ahead. But, you will likely pop soon, and will only be wearing maternity, which are a pain to buy, but a total necessity.

If you can hold off, I say hold off, but if you don't mind spending the $$$ now, and then in a few weeks, then get them!

Everyone grows differently, but I am still wearing my reg pants with the bella band and still comfortable in them.

I am 5feet tall and I found petite maternity pants at desitnation maternity and old navy.

I am 18 weeks and still able to wear my regular pants with a bella band! I think if you can find some not too expensive, then you can get away with buying a few pairs.

I guess I will go out and look for some sales. I usually only buy pants if they are on sale anyway, so hopefully I will find some.

i'd get a pair of black and a pair of brown and that's it. And I'd probably wear a lot of dresses for the next few weeks.

petite maternity pants aren't hard to find. i probably wouldn't buy more pants in my current size but everyone shows differently. plus, after you give birth you may go back to your size, things in your size may fit but differently, or you might be a new size.

I used my bella band until I was 21 weeks, so if you think you will wear the pants after, I say go for it!

with ds i went out and bought regular jeans when i was 8 weeks just a size up... and i was out of them by 12 weeks because they were both tight on the waist as well as the legs... the bella band was not comfortable because when i am preg i apparently swell in my upper legs eaarly.....

I am in the exact same boat but I'm trying to hold out mainly bc I'm also 9w but already busting out of my pants likely bc this is baby #2. If this is your 1st PG, I'd do it bc it may take a while for you to show and you will have them after you deliver.

I dont think its silly. I needed new jeans just a few weeks ago and bought my regular size, but got superlow cut so they close under my belly. I am 23 weeks and they still fit fine!
