Is it too early in the season to find decent fruit salad? (pregnant craving)
I'm pregnant and suddenly want nothing but fruit salad (honeydew, cantaloupe, kiwi, etc).
Should I go in search of it or is it too early in the season to find anything decent/juicy/sweet enough?
If you've had it/seen it recently, what type of place? Grocery store, deli?

Waldbaums is usually pretty ripe. Your best bet would be to pick your own fruit out so you know it's ripe. Now I want some too.

Where do you live? I always love the fruit at the korean grocer by me. It's summer somewhere and I notice that the strawberries have been good lately and the melons too. I just bought watermelon last night and it was great.

I'm south shore, western Nassau. Don't know of any Korean grocers but now would like to find one!
Dh went to get some for me at Waldbaums. It was pretty good!

Me too. The past 2 weeks I have gotten great ones there! I am in Seaford. Also Uncle Giuseppe has pretty good ones.
