Is it weird to have baby shower at same place as bridal shower?
My mom asked me if I would care if they have my baby shower at the same place they had my bridal shower. Reason being...the place was super affordable, and although I dont think she really did much other looking, she dosn't think she will find another place with prices that good.
I really would rather not have it in the same place again, personally....i mean, the place was great (Jani restaurant - a chinese/japanese restaurant). The food was good, and we had a nice big room. But I just feel like people might think it is strange being at the same place, and part of me wanted to try someplace different, although if they really can't afford it I understand. I am even thinking of telling my mom she can just have it at a VFW or something. I was just wondering what others thought.
Would you think it was weird if you were invited to a baby shower at the same place someone had their bridal shower 2 years ago? What would you do?

I think it's fine. My mom suggested the same thing to me but the place where we had my bridal shower had new owners and they jacked up the prices for the same thing. My mom said it was still ok, but I felt bad and found another place.

I think it's perfectly fine. My parents belong to a country club...so we had both my engagement party and my bridal shower at the the club. For my shower, we are having it at my parents house..but if they wanted to do it at the club..that would of been fine with me too.

crasher here... I would LOVE to have it at the same place one day! Although, unfortunately the place closed  I openly expressed to my parents when that happened that it was too bad because I would have REALLY wanted to have my baby shower there one day!!

I think its fine. I had my bridal shower in a backyard in the summer so obviously that wouldnt work for me lol. But I have had numerous party's at my FIL Firehouse. We had our engagement party, my parents 50th birthday and my baby shower there. Hey I am even having our DD christening and first birthday there. I say if you like it and its affordable go for it!!

I think it's fine.... I had my engagement party and bridal ahower at the same place. Though I'm not having a baby shower, I know that my mom would have definitely considered that same location for a baby shower.

I think it's fine.....if YOU like the place but it sounds like u don't. Are you talking about the Jani in Huntington? There's other restaurants nearby that are also inexpensive. (Matteo's, a family-style Italian place has events for like $25 or less pp).

I wonder if the Matteo's are all diff b/c I had my bridal shower at the Queens one and it was more than double that pp (and not a big fancy menu either- just the 2nd level that's 2 family style apps and then 2 family style entrees). I didn't pay for it myself but I still think it was pretty overpriced for a lunch (although the food IS tasty). We did my baby shower at a catering hall for almost half that price, which I thought was a lot more reasonable considering there were like 75 guests at each party- and the food was actually more abundant and pretty similar- maybe not AS good- but close enough for a heck of a lot less $$.
