Is it weird to have chili and cornbread at a 1 yr old birthday party?
Since I'm doing a "harvest theme" I wanted to incorporate some hearty foods on the menu. We will be catering it from Zorn's but I still wanted some extra touches. DH says it's too much. It'll be mostly adults, kids Roman's age and older. Clover will probably be one of the youngest there. Should I skip the harvest menu and just do it up with the decorations?
Here's some of the dishes I was going to make:
Chili w/ cornbread
Mac -n- Cheese
Brats w/apple sauerkraut
German potato salad
Pumpkin zucchini bread
From Zorns:
Ribs
Fried Chicken
Rotiserre Chicken
6 ft hero
Veggies
Salad
Suggestions?

I think its fine!
We did cajun/new orleans style food catered from Big Daddys at DD's bday.
