Is it worth decorating for fall with outdoor animals?
I really want to decorate for fall but we chipmunks and rabbit burrows in the front of the house. One burrow is particularly close to the front door. Is it worth it to put the pumpkins and cornstalks and gourds outside or are they just gonna eat them?

I usually give it a try - but I remove the corn from the stalks.
I never had a problem with pumpkins, but racoons would rip the stalk off our posts, then drag it until the corn came off. then they would have a chow-down on our patio, and leave all the corn stalks every where. It was annoying, but kind of funny at the same time.

I don't decorate for fall, soley b/c we have rabbits, deer and foxes around our house...and i do not want to see two out of those three on my front door step. I'll usually just put a scarecrow and some spider webs outside.

The first year we were here I put out a pumpkin on the stoop and a raccoon or something got into it in the middle of the night. What a mess! I'll never put anything like that or corn out again.

I put out a few pumpkins last weekend and within 2 hours, one of them was eaten by squirrels.
They didn't touch the other 3 that were there, though...
