Is it worth it to continue buying 5oz bottles?
I am trying to stock up on bottles since I go back to work next week . My MD suggested we start with 5oz bottles (I'm not sure what he takes since I nurse). Should I get all 9oz (I use Born Free) and just fill them to the 5oz mark so the bottles last longer or is there a benefit to have a bottle that is the size of what you're filling it with? (Stupid question - I know!)

I would get the 9oz bottles and then fill them up with what you need.

I think the 9oz ones too. I use the bornfree too. I am actually getting ready to do the same to stock up my mom's house. The bornfree is on the pricier side so I think it is cheaper to go with the 9oz. The only thing that is annoying is that they all come with the level 1 nipples. My dd just switched to a level 2 so we have to get the bottles and the level 2 nipples, but dd is strictly ff so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks - I didn't know if they get gassier from having a half full bottle or something but I don't want to waste $$ on 5oz bottles when he might be up to 6oz in the next couple of weeks.

I would just buy the 9oz bottles. Elizabeth has been using them since she was 3 months old.

Get the 9oz & fill them to the 5oz mark. I always thought it was a waste of money to get 5oz bottles, only to buy 9oz later.

I agree with all the PPs, get the bigger bottles. Then you won't have to worry about switching bottles again. It'll have to happen at some point
