Is it wrong to use blue paint in gender neutral room?
I am so torn need opinions...we are on team and the room color we are painting is carlilse cream which is a soft tan, the molding will be white and I really want to paint the ceiling the palest blue but am worried it might be too boy oriented??!? I just am loving the blue/tan combination and the bedding we are getting is a really pale blue with a brown/cream toile I know if it is a girl we can girly it up but what do you think too blue?

I can see if you were doing the whole room in blue, but what you are describing sounds absolutely fine and quite beautiful!

I agree. The room we're putting the baby in is already painted a pale blue. We're actually having a boy, but even if it was a girl, we wouldn't have changed it. My mother said I shouldn't, but at the time, the room was MY bedroom and I'm a girl! Anyway, I think the color is really peaceful and soothing and even goes really nicely if we had chosen pink bedding etc.
I think it's just fine!

I think it is totally fine. We painted the nursery a teal color (BM Spring Sky) because our bedding is going to be brown, teal, tan and cream.
There are pics of the paint color in my baby album.

I agree.... Our office (soon to be nursery) is actually a very light blue and even though we are we are keeping it blue.... We are doing a garden theme and adding lots of girly accessories in the room. For me at least blue could go either way

Re: Is it wrong to use blue paint in gender neutral room?
sounds perfect to me! If we were having a girl, we had a blue/brown bedding set picked out... I'm pretty anti-pink myself, so I don't see ANYTHING wrong with blue or green for girls

I think it would be perfect! I am trying to figure out something to do with the ceiling myself besides white!

My nursery is a pale pale blue, I think it's pretty, plus you decorate it more for a boy or a girl once baby arrives.

There is no "wrong" when it comes to decorating YOUR baby's nursery - Do what you love !!!
but for the record, I don't think a blue ceiling is 'boyish' at all

Oh good! I am so glad to see that so many people have blue for a GN nursery! OK I feel better lol now it's just a matter of picking a beige that I love and a blue that is soft enough!

Re: Is it wrong to use blue paint in gender neutral room?
I think it's fine! DS's room has a white chair rail with cream on top and blue on the bottom. The bedding and furnishings are light blue with dragonflies. We're planning on reusing the same bedding for the new baby, whether it's a boy or girl.

Re: Is it wrong to use blue paint in gender neutral room?
I was thinking about painting the nursery a blue color as well (yes the whole room) and i was on team .
I figured if i had a girl, i could spruce it up and if she was anything like me... would love blue.
