Is Liberty Mutual a good insurance company?
I am considering getting homeowner's insurance and auto insurance with Liberty Mutual. Are they a good company?

I have them. Have never had a homeowners claim, but my sister is currently dealing with them due to a flood in her house (pipe burst) and they seem to be doing right by her.
eta: I've used them for glass claims on my car, and they were very helpful.

We have them for house, auto and life insurance. Like the OP said, we haven't had to file a claim yet (KNOCK ON WOOD) so I can't speak to that.

We have them and filed a large claim with them last year and they were great (we had a pipe burst in the kitchen).
Something we learned though, is not only does having a good insurance matter so does a good mortgage company and well Wells Fargo stinks as far as claims go. I had to jump through hoops to get paid (it was over a certain amount and the checks were paid to both the mortgage company AND homeowner. The mortgage company then holds it in escrow and gives it in increments to you).

We have them and haven't filed a claim yet. My parents have used them for years and have filed 2 big claims - they handled everything well.
The one thing that I can tell you though, is that over the amost 6 years that we have had our house insured with them, our premiums have more than doubled. Not sure if this is the case across the board with all insurance companies, but like I said we haven't filed a claim so to me it seems like a lot.

I have them from home, auto and life. Filed an auto claim and they were GREAT. And I'm paying for two cars what I paid for one with Geico. I actually have an agent I've been dealing with there for years and love him if you want his name.

Yes. And I have insured with them for years. My premiums (if they went up) only go up barely. Like less than 5%.
I don't mind because they are very cheap in the first place!

I have them for my auto insurance. They saved me a bundle when I switched from State Farm several years ago. And my premiums have hardly ever gone up. I've found them easy to deal with too

actually we are in the middle of a claim right now with them and so far so good. we have them for home and auto. the claim is from the car accident i had a few days ago.
