Is LIPA NOT Supposed To Be Charging Us For The Lack of Power We had With Hurricane Irene?

I just got my "normal" balanced bill and was ****** to see they didn't knock off the three days we had no power. Should they have?

Thanks

My guess is it should reflect in your overall usage. Once you get an actual reading done, your usage will be less since you didn't use it for three days. You won't see the difference until the end of your balance billing.

Yes! Your meter was NOT running during that time. You can't be charged for something you didn't use.

You will see the difference at the end of the year. And even that difference will be 3 days out of 365.
