is reding workshop one or two periods?

I am doing ademo today and i have 40 minutes i know my lesson is longer than that and i THINK that in my school we do double periods of reading workshop and then double of writers. i kow thats what we do for math. Does it make sense if i say that to the administration that i know thi is al long lesson but its set for a double period even though i only have one so i may have to adjust it? Is that wrong to say? i am not 100% sure my school does double blocks of reading i know we do it for math.

for a demo I would stick with a lesson for the alloted time frame.

If you bring a portfolio with you, you can show them other longer reading workshop/writing workshop lessons

thanks. unfortunately i thought of this 2 hours before i have to leave so now what do i do??. the book i am reading isort of long and i already plan to skip some non essential parts. Is it ok if the mini lesson is more like 15 minutes instead of 10?
