Is screaming a few hours after getting shots normal?

My niece who lives with me just got three shots today at her 2 month check up at around 3pm. About a half hr ago she just started crying and screaming and won't stop. My son never does this when he gets his shots so I was wondering if it had to do with the shots?

I honestly don't know if its "normal" or "okay" but DS never screamed more than 1 minute with any shot.

But our ped always tells us which shot will be painful, and to give tylenol in advance. We never do and DS never cries afterward.

Honestly 3 shots in one visit, makes me poor baby. Thankfully our ped lets us do 2 shots at at time. one in each leg, and tells us which one is going to hurt. Usually will tell us either warm or cold compress depending on the shot will help.

when i did the DTAP for my DS @ 9 weeks or so he had the worst night and screamed and cried for a few hours! i'll never forget it!

my son joseph just got his second DTAP shot at his 4 month appt and he actually screamed two days later ALL DAY. Dr. said it was a delayed reaction to the shot. it was horrible.

My dd did that with dtap. I called ped who said it can be a side effect and to.give her tylenol.

My DD #1did exactly as you described a few hours after her 2month shots. The crying lasted about an hour to two but then was totally fine.
