is Tamiflu safe for toddlers

My DH has H1N1 and Im going to call my DD's ped. but I dont know much about Tamiflu if they choose to put her on it as a precaution.

My son (17mos) was just on it and he had no side effects. the only thing is that it tastes HORRIBLE and he threw it up a few times.

oh just a heads up in case you run into the same issue--my insurance required a pre-autho for it. so i had to pay for it ($85) and then have his doc send a letter to my ins. they ended up authorizing it. so now i have to go to the pharmacy and get reimbursed $55.


eta: after he threw it up i told the pharmacist and he said i could mix it with a little orange juice. that made it taste a bit better.

My son had swine flu at 12 weeks old and he was given tamiflu IMO it saved his life so i'm gonna go with yes!

yes it is safe but it tastes VILE (I tasted it, it is really awful)...miki took it when her sitter's daughter was diagnosed with HINI as a precautionary measure

miki used to say "it is time to take the yucky medicine"

Its approved for children ages 2 and up
