Is the Gap Warmest Jacket too puffy for a carseat?
Last year I got the 3-in-1 jacket from Childrens Place and liked it b/c it wasn't too bulky for the carseat. I like the Gap jacket too but it looks like it can be a PIA with the carseat.

How old is the child? Remember if the child is still in the infant carrier you can always dress the baby lighter and use a blanket.
I have not see this particular jacket, but can simply say that if it seems "puffy" to you than it should not be used in a car seat. Use your best judgement.. In the meantime I will try to get a look at the jacket to see if I can give you a better answer.

Yup, but IMO, no jacket like that should be used in a carseat.
DS just wears a hoodie in the car and then I put hte jacket on when we get out

Unfortunately we had a very hard time with my DS's Gap warmest jacket in the car-seat and he ended up wearing a Walmart one that he loved He only wore the Gap for the snow ( which we didnt get a heck of a lot of )

That's the jacket my DS had last winter and will have again. You're not supposed to have your child wear a puffy coat in the car seat. If there was an accident the straps really aren't as tight as they should be because of the coat's puffiness. I never had my DS wear it in the car because of this.

Ds only wears his Gap jasket when we are going to be out for a while or if the walk to the place we are going to is a long walk.
He normally wears his Northface fleece jacket, which I HIGHLY recommend!

IMO yes. I use fleece or quilted barn jackets from Gap. I only use the warmest type jackets for playing outside.

Ohhh! That is a good idea. I was wondering what I could possibly use for DS during the winter. I hope Northface makes Infant size 12-18months.
