Is the reg. Bjorn that bad on your back?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the $120 one or the $60 one. I don't have a bad back but can see getting one since DS is a chunker. Does it help that much or is it not worth the upgrade?

I have the hotsling but I find it so difficult to maneuver him in and I need something to let my mom use when she's out and about. She has a 3-yr old and I just don't see her being able to put Ryan in a sling safely in a parking lot with a toddler. I'm only comfortable putting him in over a bed. Plus, I feel like he is huge for it (although he's only about 16 lbs)

Baby comes out firstChat Icon Lukie is a big baby too. I used a ring sling with him because it was easier to adjust. I am just anti Bjorn so I can't really help youChat Icon

I have the one with the back support and definitely think it's worth the extra money. I have been asked a lot about my back hurting and have heard complaints from regular bjorn users that it puts a lot of pressure on their back. I carry around my 16lb 2 month old for hours sometimes and don't have back pain.

We had teh more expensive one, but rarely used it. BIL was over the other day and his 5 month old love the baby bjorn. They have the regular one. he tried ours on and couldn't believe how much better it was. Being that i never used either, i can't say personally, but he said it was a huge difference.
