Is there a light bulb that repels bugs?

I know this may be a stupid question....but Dh doesnt like to keep the front light on at night (before we go to bed) because he says there are to many bugs that crowd around it....Is there anything we can do?

yes, there are special bulbs that repel. i bought one ofr our front door/porch area at Lowe's the other day. they are in the light bulb section. the only thing is that they have a yellow color to them when they're lit, it's not the white light you typically get from a regular bulb.
