Is there a way to find out where a certified letter came from without having the letter?

Is there a way to find out where a certified letter came from without having the letter?
I missed the mailman but received the card that said they will come again on Monday to deliver the certified letter. But I'm dying to know where its from. It has the sender's name which I dont recognize. Is there any other way to get info online?

I don't think you can get it online. If there is any doubt about whether I want to sign for it, my post office's employees will tell me where it is from.
