I know I know, may be a silly ? but just closed on a house yesterday.. and sellers has a gorgeous canadel custom made hutch and dining table... to go with their whitewash cabinets...
they are of course taking it....
the pieces are fantastic but super expensive - so was thinking maaybbeee i can stain the wood cabinets in the kitchen a little darker to increase my options of dining rm tables...
any way to do this without the whole staining process?? any products out there that i can just paint and it appears like that?!?!?!
lol i know, i doubt it.. but im looking for the quickiest and cheapest way... TIA Image Attachment(s):

I wouldn't paint your kitchen cabinets.. I'd take a chance and either find what you need to compliment what you have or buy a nice set off of CL and sand and paint it..

I would not paint them either. I may change the hardware, but def no paint. Paint the kitchen a bold color and get furniture you like. It doesn't have to "match" the cabinets.

I agree - - the cabinets are more permanent than the table, and I like them as is.
I think sometimes it looks better -- at least more visually interesting -- if all of the wood pieces in a room are not the same tone or color. That "matchy-matchy" look overwhelm a space, imo, and weigh a room down (even if it's a light color). So if I were you I'd research your table options and see if you can find something that would work with the existing cabinets.
