Is there a way to remove call waiting from my land line (briefly)?
I am going to be taking a course (a tele-course) on Thursday evenings in the spring for a few weeks and they will last about 2 hrs. or so...and I really do not want the call waiting beeping.

I think if you dial *70 before dialing the number it disables it for that call only.

Hey Paige Ann...Don't you have optimum???? I think you do because you have the same beginning numbers as me! If you do...you can go on their website and turn it off!!
