I often think of this! There has to be a way to do it, if not, it'd be a great idea!

Is there an app the can schedule text messages?
There is the Remind app (used to be remind 101) but I think the person has to sign up for your texts to go through. For example, my students sign up by sending a text to a specific number and then they are in my “class”. I can schedule reminder texts to do hw, or any other message. They don’t have to have the app to do it.

My Samsung galaxy 8 does this. You don't have to download anything, the texting app the phone comes with does it.

I have the Samsung Galaxy 7 and there is an option for “scheduled messages” when I go to texts
