is there any plan for the 2 newer disney cruises (fantasty or dream) to depart from NY

Looking to do a disney cruise and ideally would like to go out of NY but would also prefer the fantasy or dream ships.

I thought one of them was going to be a 7 day out NY but it doesnt look that way on the website...anyone have the inside scoop?

My guess is we won't see ANYTHING out of NY until AT LEAST Summer 2014.

All 4 ships are accounted for through Fall 2013, and I doubt they'd bring a ship to NY in the fall.

Even then I don't think we'd see the Dream or the Fantasy. So far they're only in FL. I don't think they'd want to send a ship with the AquaDuck up into a cold climate, but that's just my speculation. I have no insider info, but the AquaDuck and water features on the newer ships are expensive to build, run, and maintain, and they'd go to waste on a New England Sailing, though they might be nice for all of those sea days on the 8 night Bahamian.

Right now your options out of NY are for this summer only and they are

8 night Bahamian with stops at Disney World, Nassau, and Castaway Cay

5 night New England/Canada

2 night Cruise to Nowhere.
