Is there any tv show you dont let your child watch cause you hate it??
Me and Dh will not let our DD watch Barney because we hate him!!! lol..We just find him so annoying and remember when we were kids being tortured when our younger siblings would want to watch it 24/7. So we refuse to even let her know who he is!!! Well for now anyway, we know there will be that day she sees that big purple freak...and i  she doesnt like him!!! I dont want to hear that Darn I Love you song!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! 
Does anyone else try not to let the Dc see certain shows or am I the only Nutjob!!

Nope... I agree! Totally hate Barney so Mason never saw it.
All I can say is thank goodness Teletubbies aren't on anymore b/c that would be banned too

OMG I totally forgot about the teletubies!!! Oh that would have been banned too, and ITA I hate sponge bob as well!!!

Dora - her voice is like nails on a chalk board to me so DD has never been into dora because she doesn't watch her.

Ditto on Spongebob, but DS loves Max and Ruby so we let him watch sometimes

You will be surprised that they learn alot from barney..My son was obsessed with him..7 years later and I swore my DD #1 wouldn't be allowed to watch him. Well I caved and she love it. I needed time to get stuff done..So barney it was!!!
MY DD #1 wanted to watch Barney yesterday so now my 11 month old is watching Barney right now!!! Oh well!!!
I will not let my girls watch Spongebob..oh and I really hate Yo Gabba Gabba...that guy in the red outfit really freaks me out. They still watch it though.
Wanted to add she is sitting in her pack and play and clapping to a Barney song..with a big old toothless grin!!!

I recently banned Max and Ruby. DD would imitate Max and his one word sentences. There was an episode at the beach and Max kept repeating "water!". So DD would say "Water!", when she wanted water. I've worked hard to teach her proper manners like "Please may I have some water?" and I'm not going to have a show ruin that.
And their voices are like nails on chalkboard to me.

Yes. I despise Barney because when my little cousin was young that's all he would watch and I got SO sick of it so I've never even introduced my DD to the show. I also hate Yo Gabba Gabba and I can't stand Go Diego Go or Dora the Explorer. Their voices make me cringe. I feel bad because she kind of likes Dora when she catches it on TV but I can't stand that show. "Swiper, no swiping. Swiper, no swiping". ANNOYING!!!

Funny you say that cause Barney is the top of my list!
Then I walk into my aunt's house when AJ was with her and she's zombie-like and we here that god-awful voice.

Both Jim and I cringed
She loves that stupid purple dinosaur. But we don't have it at home. Its now a "Auntie's House" thing. No way no how.
ETA: I won't let her watch Diego or Dora. Stupid shows. No spongebob cause its not a kid show. I'm sure there's more but those are the biggies.

the kids that I nanny for love Yo Gabba Gabba... my sister came over the other day when it was on and she quietly says to me... what the heck is this show, and I'm like Yo Gabba Gabba and she's like what is that red thing, it looks like herpes LOL so now every time that it's on that KIA commercial DH goes, look it's herpes

We turn off Dora too because of her voice, and because of the darn Backpack-Backpack, and Swiper. DS only really likes the music in the beginning anyway.
I also will NOT watch that sock puppet show that on in the middle of the night. It's creepy and I can't stand it.

My friend lets her kids watch DVDs of old Tom and Jerry cartoons all the time. DS has seen it at their house but I would never buy those myself-- too violent and really mindless too.

DS is only 3 weeks old but DH as already said Thomas the Train is OUT! we both dislike it! It seems a lot of kids we know who like it are obsessed with it.

yo gabba gabba freaks me out. whoever created that show or writes for it must be on crack. (although, don't bite your friends is a decent lesson lol)
and spongebob. he and patrick are hiding something! i'm sure of it!
