besides maternity clothing, I would look into getting a breast pump if you plan on breastfeeding, a snoogle pillow (it's amazing), and cocoa butter. That's all I can really think of right now!
ETA: download the ovia pregnancy app- It gives you cool daily updates on the baby

Get yourself some ginger candies or preggie pops. Morning sickness can hit like a ton of bricks. And a pregnancy pillow! I started using mine super early- around 12 weeks- I had such bad hip pain. Also, one of those elastic bands to wear over your unbuttoned pants/jeans to make your clothes last a little longer. Otherwise, I'd take a wait and see approach. A lot of people don't need maternity clothes for quite some time and they aren't cheap!
ETA: I used the snoogle, too. Loved it. So did DH.

Congrats!!!
I like preggie pops in the beginning to help morning sickness. A body pillow was also a godsend.
there really isn't much else I remember needing early on

Anything that takes the nausea away. I made friends with the guy at the bagel store quickly. I keep little bags in my car just in case. I always have mints and jolly ranchers too. Leggings, leggings are my best friend, and I have like 6 pairs of the pointe leggings from the loft for work, they are dressier. And look into breast pump coverage. I just ordered mine since my plan changes in October, we never know what the changes are until 30 days prior to I just ordered. We also got the baby book- what to expect I love it, very informative. This morning DH and I went and got me that pregnancy pillow, it's like a massive cocoon for you. My legs have been hurting and my stomach is blowing up fast with the 2 babies in there. I just need relief hopefully it helps! Coco butter I just started using I'm going to be a whale by the time the twins are here, I figured I'd start early. And air conditioning- I am MELTING 24/7 I sleep with the central air on full blast with ice packs, while the dog and DH are huddled together under 8 blankets- I am toasty all the time.
Whatever you think helps or makes life easier get and do!!!

Is there a particular brand band you'd recommend? I don't know if I would really need one though...I mostly wear dresses in the summer, so by the time I would be wearing pants/jeans I would prob need maternity anyway, I think...

Thanks! I haven't had any actual morning sickness yet (just a few bouts of mild queasiness) but I will order some just to have on hand in case.

it doesn't look like loft has those leggings anymore. how do you wear them, with a tunic or a dress? i've never been a leggings person, but i think i might need to get some.

Def recommend the snoogle pillow. I sleep with it just about every night. DH has been trying to steal it from me the last few nights. I also sleep with a fan blowing on me constantly when I'm in bed. Before getting pregnant I was always cold but now I sweat constantly

I just got whatever they had at target, can't remember the brand now. It was $10 and I used it a lot in the early in-between stage- my clothes were too tight but maternity clothes were too big. I was pregnant in the fall/winter though.

Usually just a longer shirt. I mean they really look like pants and not even leggings that's why I like them so much. Also try gap, Macy's, White House black market, they have similar ones. For my lounge and weekend leggings I have a bunch of the Vera wang from kohls

Regular yoga pants or yoga capris! I had a bunch of pairs pre-pregnancy and have been able to wear them the entire time! Almost 37 weeks now. You can flip the band up or fold it over depending on how you are carrying. :D

Re: is there anything i need to get (for me, not baby)?
I would get a good stretch mark cream, a good pregnancy pillow, and ginger tea. And some comfy transitional clothes. I also like regular yoga pants that fold over at the waist. I also started to buy clearance maternity clothes early, because they were out of season and cheaper.
I like looking at the pregnancy calendar online (like on babymed.com), so you can see day by day how the baby is developing and at what week you will be on any given date.

Re: is there anything i need to get (for me, not baby)?
The three best investments I made when I got my BFP were The Snoogle pregnancy pillow (seriously, I cannot sleep without it now), some very comfortable sweat pants that will grow with you, and a really good stretch mark cream (start using it NOW even though you're not showing yet...apply after every single shower and lather that stuff on good!).
Also some things to keep on hand: Colace (for the 1st trimester constipation), Tylenol, crackers/pretzels for morning sickness, and the Baby Bargains book to start researching what to register for.
