Is there anyway to upgrade to a Blackberry without paying an arm and a leg for one?
I have Verizon and am not currently due for an upgrade until May 2010; I really want to get a Blackberry....Anyway to get a deal? Any tips? TIA!

you don't have to wait for your upgrade. You just have to sign a new 2 year agreement and you can get your berry for a new contract price which is lower than retail.

I didn't think I was ready for an upgrade...but apparantly I did qualify for an early upgrade. A new pink blackberry curve only cost me ~$100.
I LOVE it!!!

since you're 1/2 way into your contract, I believe that entitles you to a credit towards a new phone. you should call and ask.

They wouldnt even move my date two frekkin weeks when DH wanted to get me one for mother's day. I just got it on Tuesday and LOVE it!

I have Verizon too, I am pretty sure you can get it for the discount price with a new contract.
HOWEVER, I am not sure if the new contract timing is in addition to your current contract or it starts from scratch... ie, if you have 6 months left, and want to get the device with the 2 yr contract pricing, you might end up with 2 yrs & 6 months of your contract.
Definitely call and ask.
I have a curve for work and a pearl for personal use (though my company pays for both), I can't live without it! DH has an iPhone, IMO, once you go Blackberry, you can't go back

Not sure if the BB Curve will work with Verizon as the provider, I have AT&T but I am going to get a different phone in a few weeks. I will not need mine anymore, it's in very good condition if you want I will sell it to you for a very reasonable price. LMK

I think Walmart has a sale right now on the Curve for $8.88 with a new 2 year contract with Verizon.
