Is there somewhere online you can buy a restaurant gift certificate that can be used at a range of restaurants?
I thought I remember there being something like this? TIA!

FYI You can also purchase gift cards that they mail you so can give them out as gifts.
I have printed them on nice paper b/f to give as gifts.
Now there are no more expiration dates and just read the fine print regarding the days of the week that you an use it.
We love to use them when we go out, especially when it means 1 person can eat for $2, the price of the cert.

There are a few restaurants that are under the same chain.
For example a Darden restaurants gift card can be used at Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, Seasons 52, and the Capital Grille.
You can also purchase a GC that works at Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's, Bonefish Grill, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Roy's, and Blue Coral.
Other than that, I'm not sure where else.
I wouldn't use restaurant.com as a site to send a GC to someone for the holidays though -- since really it's more of a coupon than an actual gift card.

This is what I was going to say. Some chain restaurants are owned by the same company, so you can use them interchangably. Like Chili's can also be used at On The Border.

opentable.com you can earn gift cards that can be used anywhere if you earn enough points making reservations at places
