Is there such a thing as a prefab garage?
or is it just fine to build one (detached)

There absolutely are prefab garages....but they can get pricey. Totally your choice if you go prefab or built on-site.
There are a bunch of places in Farmingdale that have samples on site for reference.
Just like anything else - there are a million options/upgrades.
