Is this a cute gift?
I have a friend who is obsessed w/ ladybugs & happen to find this online.
Her daughter is turning one & though I would get this for her, what do you think? It says it's for 12 mos & up.
Cute?
Do you think when it arrives it will look like nothing much?

I think it's really cute, especially for somebody who is obsessed with ladybugs. I'm not sure if it will look like nothing. The diameter is 12 inches, but it is 8 inches thick, so it is not skimpy.

Hmm, my honest opinion...
I think its gorgeous for the mom who loves ladybugs, but might not be too exciting for the 1yr old who's just learning to walk/run and discover more exciting toys.
Just MY opinion based on my boys. A stuffed animal type toy would only last a few seconds - it's gotta bump, crash, bang and boing to stay exciting over here  
Unless she's a calm, quiet 1yr old. 
ETA: Let's ask the photographer how long the kid sat for the photoshoot
Gosh, I miss FAO, I worked there when I was in college  and it's SOOO different now, just not the same atmosphere at all - no more trademark FAO music, no more colorful walls and just different...
dont take my opinion the wrong way, hey maybe the mom will put it in HER room on HER bed
