Is this a cute idea?
For a bridal shower gift?
buying 2 laundry baskets and filling it with a bunch of different size towels and washclothes
also getting the kitchen towels she registered for and having my MIL make those kitchen angels (She is actually real good at them- if anyone ever wants one FM me)
and then spending like another 30 or so dollars on a registry item....
Or
should I just take all the money and put it towards 1 registry item...
I just like themes.... and she did register for towels.... and I feel you can never have enough laundry baskets...

I like the idea, but I would only do a few towels and then fill it with other fun stuff ....some other things from her registry perhaps....it will be like a smorgasboard (sp?)....

Are the towels off the registry? If not, I say put the money towards one registry gift.

Re: Is this a cute idea?
I like the first idea.
But if you are up for suggestions - I have one. My question before I tell you is - when is the shower? soon? cause if it is it might not work.
A friend of mine did this for a friends bridal shower and I loved it. She made little basket for each of the holidays. For instance - Valentines day - she bought little things for valentines day. Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc.

My mom did that for me -- she was shopping forever for stuff. It was great though - I literally had everything as the holidays came around.
I am a big theme person too. I hate just going off the registry. Love anything that you can put in a basket and wrap in cello.

Love this idea...I did a modified version for my cousin...I got the kitchen towels and potholders and oven mitts..for the different holidays.
I really like your idea--I wish I had registered for more towels and it's something you always need...just make sure they're neutral.

Well she is register for all the kitchen towels that we'd need to make the angel...
and then registered for 3 bath towels.... the rest would just be extra.... but you can never have enough- I was also thinking of throwing beach towels in there... she didnt register for them... but I KNOW she dosent have them... she prob. just didnt think of it..
I know I never thought to register for beach towels, never bought any when we moved in together, and then this summer I plan on going to the beach... and had no towels...
