is this a good idea

My mom retired and will be watching emma when i go back to work in september. she can't wait to watch her but i do feel bad. i feel like she is sacrificing so much of her life for me and emma (my parents have always been that way). I'd like to do something for her just to show her how much I appreciate what she is doing. Even though it is not nearly enough to show how thankful I am...I was thinking that at the end of each month giving her a gift certificate somewhere.

What do you think...any other ideas?

I have family that watches Andrew all week and I know they sacrifice soo much but wouldn't have it any other way.

What I do special is for their birthdays and holidays, I go above what they used to get.

And of course I buy all the supplies they would need. And for my SIL, we spoil her kids a little more now that she watches Andrew 2 days a week.

ETA: Sorry I really didn't answer your question. I think a GC is a nice idea but I know my family would be mad if I did that. The whole reason they watch Andrew is so we can work and we need every penny we earn to live. They would be mad if I spent money on them like that every month.
