I was also going to say it sounded high... but I haven't had crown moulding installed yet.
Are your rooms rather large though?

i think we paid around $1200 for crown molding in our living room and bedroom. it was cut, painted and installed for us.

if it helps, we were just quoted and hired ...
1800 for all materials and paint in 3 bedrooms, LR, DR, kitchen and all ceilings. i think it might be a bit high

That's what I thought. I've used him before to paint and do the crown molding in the living room. He also did a few other things and the price was very reasonable then. The thing is, we could totally paint the rooms ourselves, but DH just started a new job and the hours kind of suck. I hardly see him as it is now. I don't want to spend all of our time together painting. I also don't have it in me to prepare all the rooms for painting either--clearing everything out, putting things away. Ugh. I think we might have to put this project on hold.
Lol, I think I need to move this thread over to the relationship board now.

We bought the supplies for crown molding and paid the guy $300 a day. He is in the carpenters union and did a fantastic job. It took him one day to do 2 bedrooms, dining and LR.
LR is large (30 by 15)
We painted ourselves, NEVER AGAIN!
