Is this a normal occurrence in daycare?

Jake came home wearing a mismatched pair of socks that were not his AND too big for him.

Just wondering if this is a somewhat common occurrence among other mommies with babies in daycare.

I've had the wrong bibs put in a plastic bag and put in Peyton's cubicle but never wrong socks.

yes, it happens. Evidently babies like to take their own and each other socks off.

My friend just had this happen, instead she got the wrong bottle placed in her bag.

Yup. I just washed a white tee shirt that doesn't belong to either of my kids.

edited for spelling

the wrong bottle thing kind of upsets me a little....what if your child is on special formula or BREAST milk and its given to another childChat Icon

Yes, when Ryan was out for a week his spare clothes that I had in his cubby were inadvertendly given to another child. No biggie, they washed them and brought them back in.

and he takes his socks off all day if I dont dress him in the right ones...I wouldn't be surprised if they got mixed up.

I think it's the wrong EMPTY bottle, like after they drink it and rinse it they send it home to the wrong kid. I had the wrong bottle cap on Ryan's bottle once. (Dr Browns are popular I guess!)

Bella has been sent home with the wrong bottle once, wrong Jacket once, bibs (especially when they went through like 7 bibs a day) and two times the wrong BINKIE--this illicited a very stern response to me, which scared them...

Oh, I know...and they also know as But the love and joy that Bella has for her teachers and her teachers has for her FAR outway how it made me feel, which was livid and wanting to pull her out that second...

Mistakes happen...to anyone.

Re: Is this a normal occurrence in daycare?

Yes, all the time, and once we even had someone else's binky. I don't get too upset about it, as long as I know that they are spending most of their time giving Alex all the love, attention and education that she needs. The only thing that would send me over the edge is when she was younger, and on breastmilk, if I found out it was given to another baby, or if Alex was given formula or another baby's BM....which, thankfully, never happened
