Or just plain not "boyish" enough? I liked the vintage firetruck bedding (DH is an FDNY EMT and will be on the regular FDNY in the next year) but it is on clearance and my shower is not for 2 months.

So, what do you ladies think?

Not too girly!!!! I had originally registered for it for our little Chat Icon but found something on super clearance at Target.

I think it's very neutral

I like it, I don't think it's too girly. But I do like the idea of the firetrucks in honor of your DH though!

Someone I use to work with had that for her little boy and the room looked adorable. My only complaint is that she painted the room beige and I love color Chat Icon

The room is yellow now (it was a baby room for my landlords too) and we were going to paint it a very soft blue, but I can't seem to match it very well.

Re: Is this bedding too girly?

I would get what you really want-if it is on clearance, I would buy it myself rather than miss the opportunity to get what I really want.

In answer to your original quesiton, I think this set is very boyish so it would work great too.

I agree - if that's what you want then buy it now. Maybe you could register for it too. That way if someone is able to buy it for you (or any pieces of it) you can return what you bought and save the expense...if it's too late for the registry at least you'll already have it.
