is this doable?? (disney question)
I asked awhile ago about timing for everything, but this is the nailed down schedule because it's the only thing that works:
arrival at 12:54pm to MCO magical express to AoA BBB in the springs at 5pm dinner at 5:45pm at rainforest
cutting it way too close?? it's dining for 7 people because we are meeting up with some friends. Only other places with like a 6:15 reservation (which would be ideal) are planet hollywood, enzo's hideaway, house of blues, morimoto, and paradiso 37. What should we do? Rainforest is pretty much next door to BBB, and alot of the others are like on the other side of the springs.. but, they're closer to the resort buses
ETA: separate question: if we were able to snag a BBB for like 430 then we should be able to make our rainforest reservation at 545. But with a 1pm landing time, i wonder if we would make it to the springs in time?

I think it’s doable. You may be a few minutes late to dinner (10-15 minutes) but not enough for them to cancel your res.
Also check out opentable. A lot of Disney springs restaurants are on there and with more availability than the Disney site.

we are doing the basic BBB package but i heard stuff about them being behind schedule often with the appts there.. is that true? I always thought the springs wasn't as jam packed
I was also thinking we can try to get to the springs earlier and see if they would take DD early.

In my experience BBB at Springs gets you going really close to your appointment time. However, I don't think 45 minutes is enough time. You have to check in, confirm the package (they will show your DD a book with her choices), and wait for her "Fairy Godmother in Training" to come get her. This (checking in etc) can take 5-15 minutes. If your DD is putting on a princess dress for the experience (and really she should b/c BBB in Springs just makes this part of the experience truly special and oh, so much better than at the castle), then there is her time in the dressing room. Yes, you can bring your own dress with you. From there, there may be a brief 2-3 minute wait before your DD gets in the chair. Then the time it takes to do the hair (and nails and make-up). Then the special photos that come with the package. I really don't see how 45 minutes is enough time. (I checked with DH, and he agrees that 45 minutes is not nearly enough time, even if everything goes exactly on schedule with no waiting).

That's definitely not enough time. I would move the Rainforest to later, or get an earlier BBB appointment.

its cutting it close - if you land at 1 you still have to get to magical express, wait for the bus (sometimes you don't even get on the first bus) then drive to hotel and then check in. then wait for the Disney springs bus and add that travel time. I think you could probably make the 5:00 at BBB but no way the dinner reservations at 5;45

Re: is this doable?? (disney question)
Call to change your time or switch to T. rex cafe for dinner.
We planned for 45 minutes and missed our dinner reservation by over 30 minutes! BBB was great and was worth not rushing.
And yes... I wouldn’t push for an earlier reservation for BBB

I would keep checking on reservations to move your dinner later...we’ve been to Disney a few times and i’ve never been able to book more than 2-3 months out because of how my job does vacation picks. I always make whatever reservations I can get as soon as possible and pretty much always end up being able to get what I really want as it gets closer to the trip, better times always end up popping up.

Call them directly. Only a certain amount of reservations are held for Disney. It’s not a Disney owned restaurant.

Re: is this doable?? (disney question)
One thing I wish I didn't do was rush around all over the place so much. We had SO much we wanted to do and so many places to be that I felt half the time was spent shuttling around and not really enjoying it. Plus, try getting a 2.5 y/o moving! There were MANY melt downs. I even think a 5:00 PM BBB reservation is cutting it close, but that's just my experience.
