Is this gift redundent?

I got my girlfriend a bunch of books that she wanted for her birthday...for Xmas I was thinking of getting her this really nice bookmark and a gift card to B & N.is that way to reudundent? should i steer away from the book idea?

the thing is she is young and married and they have all that house stuff u would need and has expensive clothes tastse so im trying to steer away from that..Chat Icon

I don't think it is redundant. I would rather get gifts that I want and can use then for someone to think of something unique that will collect dust on my shelf.

I would go with your idea - I think it's a great one!

If she's a reader, which from what you're saying she is, I think it's a great gift.

I would love it!

For my graduation a friend of mine got me chocolates, madelines, sparkling peach cider anda gift card to Barnes and Noble, it was so awesome, I can just imagine curling up with the cider and a good book on a rainy day!

I think its great since you know she likes to read - and a gift card to B&N - there are other things there besides books, she can even use it at the cafe while she reads the books you gave her before:)

It sounds good although maybe a g.c for music instead? Does she have an IPOD? You could get her a g.c for I-Tunes, if not a cert for Virgin or Sam Goody or Amazon?

i was thinking the itunes gc but after hearing that the reeipt needs to be inlcuded with the gift for some code number i really didnt wanna do that
