Is this innapropriate re: cover letter
As you may remember...
i don't want to sound inappropriate but I want to mention a previous position I held...any other phrasing you can suggest or is that OK?

Well he was the super where I held the position...he also heard me make a speech etc, so I wanted to make it a little more personal but maybe that isn't a good thing
ETA: I tried some other phrasing but it sounds like I am trying to tell him something he doesn't already know KWIM? Ugghhhh, I hate cover letters

What's wrong with being personal? You're not being inappropriately personal you're asking in some way if he remembers you, right?

"Per our conversation on..." or "per our previous conversation".
I feel "as you may remember" is telling me in a weird way that I am not that smart or I have no memory.
