is this normal

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I've been noticing some light brown mucus when I wipe. Sorry, hopefully not TMI. Is this normal? I'm going for my first sonogram and appt this monday. But, I'm super worried about this . should I be?

This happens to a lot of people in the beginning. It is almost always nothing to worry about especially when it is brown which indicated old blood. If you weren't going to be seen for a few weeks I would say call the doctor but you are going Monday so just keep an eye on it, no s*e*x and take it easy this weekend. If it becomes more, or red, or you start having cramps, call your doc...I am SURE it's nothing though.

Thanks! The smallest things are driving me crazy now. Let alone how emotional i've been. I just want everything to go smoothly, just like everyone else.

i regularly posted about this same thing earlier in my pregnancy. thank goodness for this board b/c i was amazed to see how many other people experienced the same thing and went on to have normal pregnancies. i spotted brown tinged CM as well at week 5 and then even more at wk 7. i even freaked enough to go to the ER one sunday and all was well. you just never want to see anything that you are not expecting so it is worrisome of course. i am sure that everything is just fine with you and your baby. all the best to you!
