Is this normal while stopping BF? A few questions.
I am shaking and sweating. I don't know if this is from stopping BF or from my surgery. It's been less than 48 hours since I last BF.
Also, to relieve the engorgement, I need to pump and dump. Do I just pump enough for relief or pump more?
TIA!!!

It can be from stopping bf'ing. Ask someone to go get you a cabbage head. Place a leaf in each bra cup. Wear a tight fitting bra and wrap an ace bandage around you to compress the breasts. Pump only enough to ease the pain and discomfort. You don't want your body tp think you are feeding your baby. If you can take a decongestant. It cal also help tp dry up the milk. Good luck and i hope you feel better

It's probably normal- that didn't happen to me when I stopped but it did happen a few times in the days after dd was born. Pump just enough to get relief.

I think it can be normal for some people. When I first started weaning (around 9mos pp) I tried to do it by just cutting down a feeding every couple of weeks - for my body that was too much - I had to actually pump during that feeding - for less and less time b/f eliminating it.
The reason why I did this was b/c when I just elim. the feeding - I started having night sweats and one night - the first night I cut out the feeding I started shaking uncontrollably - there were only TWO times in my life that has happened previously -first, early on in my pg and second, after i gave birth - both times from hormones. This time i was worried so i went to my gen. dr. Anyway, long story short, it went away and i never cut down like that again - i talked to my ob about it afterwards and he said it was likely the hormones
