Is this okay to bring home baby in?
Right now, what I have to take home baby in is a onesie, socks & a hat. My DD is mid-July, so I don't think he/she will need something heavy. Is that enough?
Also, I only have 2 hats at home for baby...is that enough?
And lastly, for those were following before, DH and I sat down again last night and had a NICE discussion about names and came up with some solid options that we both like--BIG IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!

I would also bring a blanket because the air conditioning will make the baby cold.

Honestly, i think i've put a hat on my DD about 2 times since we've been home, and that was just after a bath.
What you have planned should be fine, i would just bring a light weight blanket incase the baby's a little cold to just throw over or you can always take the receiving blankets from the hospital.

i agree with the blanket!
i have hats coming out of everywhere but thats because we keep our apt. VERY cold. and i dont want her to catch a cold. plus i think those little beenies are adorable!

Sweet.
I was planning on bringing a couple of blankets anyways, some special handmade ones from baby's family members.
And good to know about the hats...I didn't know if I was missing something.

A few moms/nurses have told me always dress your baby in 1 layer more than you'd wear yourself. so that's a good way to determine what is enough.

and be careful nothing is on the outfit/onesie that can irritate the belly area of the baby also recieving blankets are good to take to the hospital

Re: Is this okay to bring home baby in?
I'm due in two weeks and will be bringing baby home in a long sleeve one piece terry sleeper. Babies hands and feet take a little while to warm up so you may want more coverage than just a onsie. So definitley bring a blanket but I think pants/long legs are good idea no matter the weather/temp. It's just for the ride home. And will help prevent any pinching the skin from the car seat straps.

Even though it is going to be July, I would probably dress DD in a light outfit or cotton footie pajamas. Newborns cannot regulate their temp as well so they need some help.
