Exactly--I have no problem with the spandex shorts, no problem with the short skirt, no problem with the tank top. But why does it have to look like lingerie? That is the part that seems unnecessary.
If I had that bod I'd walk around in tank tops and short skirts too...but they'd be made of opaque cotton

That's my "issue" withthis picture. I don't see an issue with the shorts. I'm sure they are those moisture wick shorts. The outfit does look like lingere and that I don't agree with, why sexualize yourrself on the court like that.

I did not watch the match, so I googled some pics of the outfit to see what it really looked like, and I'm sorry, but she was playing tennis in lingerie.....which is great for her, that she feels comfortable doing that. But I do think it *could* send the message to younger girls who look up to her that even when they are kicking butt, they should be wearing something that will appeal to men.
And maybe young girls won't get that message from her outfit. But I literally have almost the same outfit in purple and white as lingerie in my dresser right now. And I feel like wearing something like that isn't for her, or her female fans, but the male fans. That's JMO and I hope I'm wrong.
ETA - I really don't care much about this whole issue. I'm not going to give it a second thought after this edit. I was only responding to all the comments made about the outfit.

I think the outfit is worse from the front.
Not only does it look like lingerie, it's UGLY lingerie!
She should probably stick to tennis, and not fashion design. . .
