Is this too high for a new kitchen quote?
Sears just came to give us a quote on a completely new remodeled kitchn, the kitchen is small 7x9 Ft. they qouted us:
16,600 for
New wood cabinets (with moulding)(maple)
cut-out hole in exhsiting wall to make a countertop
quartz (silestone?) countertop
koyler sink/faucet
The price does not include lighting or appliances or new floor.
Does this price seem too high?

How many feet of cabinets?
what kind of cabinets?
any bells or whistles (pull-out shelves, lazy susans, garbage pail under sink, soap tray, hardware, etc)
any special finish on cabinets (what color are you getting).
what is the size of cabinets, do you have extended uppers?

Not sure what the details are, but it does not seem too far off from what home depot told us  That being said, we went elsewhere...

It's not crazy but it really depends on the qualtity of the cabinet. I would check out a few local cabinet places, they pretty much all install as well.

That seems high... We bought our cabinets at Lowe's and had my brother install them. He installed for a few other LIF girls as well... much cheaper than going through the store!

and how much are cabinets from lowes? how did you measure, did they do it, or did you?

my brother measured... he's in construction.... our kitchen is 10x8 I think and we added an island.... Lowe's cabinets were around 5k, which was a steal... you can sort of tell the kitchen from this picture... 
Also, we had HD measure b/c we were originally going to go with them b/c my bro was busy... so we lost our $100 for them to measure when we didn't go with them... but they will measure for $100
