Is this too much??? Teachers/Daycare related
Hannah is in daycare 3x a week for 10 hours. I'm not sure we are returning next year yet. She was in the Infant 1 class for 4 months earlier this year, and is now in the Infant 2 class for the last 4 months of the year.
There is a head teacher and asst teacher for each class. I got 2 $50 visa cards and 2 $35 cards. I was thinking the 2 head teachers would get $50 and the 2 asst's would get $35. Then I was thinking maybe just give the 2 current teachers the $50 (since she is more active, etc.) and the 2 infant 1 teachers the $35.
OK so my 2 questions:
1) Did I spend too much? Some parents are looking at me like I'm crazy. They all feel $30 for each is enough.
2) If I decide to keep the denominations as is, should I do the current teachers @ $50 and her old teachers at $35? Or do head teachers more than asst? They are all there the same hours.

That sounds good to me.

I bought all of my children's teachers a holiday ornament from Things Remembered. They cost about 24 each. But because there are so many other people indirectly involved in their care...I am going to send an Edible Arrangement to the whole staff on the day of their holiday party.

I am cheap I guess. Grace goes to a small in home day care. I got both ladies that care for her $25 gift cards to Target. That is what the other parents are giving so I wanted to stay in line with that.
Edited to add: I think they should get the same amount. They all care equally for your DD. That was the way I looked at it.

It sounds like a lot to me and I am a teacher Not that I'd complain though. If you scaled them all back to $25 then you could give to the former teachers & teacher's assistants plus the new teachers and assistants. A PP made a good point about them all caring for your daughter equally.

I choose option #2 and I don't think you spent too much. But I'm not the best person to ask because I go overboard on gifts. But I would have given the same

I think you spent enough, although I don't know since my boys go to a babysitter, I heard the rule of thumb for in home daycare is 1 weeks pay and that is what I did last year.
