Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
I have a wedding in July. It's in the evening. I am kind of in love with this dress but is it to "warm" or wintery for July?

It's beautiful...depends on the location - beach / garden wedding = No but an indoor heavy with the AC affair then yes. Its smokin hot - wish I had the body to wear it and I would wear it year round

That's a beautiful dress! I agree with what the pp said.
Even if you don't wear it to the wedding, I hope you find an excuse to wear it!

Re: Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
Thanks guys! The wedding isn't outdoors- it's the church then a reception hall. I am not sure if they are doing an outdoor cocktail hour, but for the most part we will be inside in AC. I LOVE it, but I just don't want to look like I am dressed for the wrong season- regardless of the temperature at the wedding kwim? Damn how I wish this was a fall or winter wedding!!

Unless the liner is really heavy, I don't think you'd look like you're dressed for the wrong season for church/reception hall wedding. I'd wear a shoe like what the model is wearing to keep it summery.
And with the way the AC is usually cranking in reception halls during the summer, everyone else will probably be jealous of your sleeves! You'll look way more chic than anyone wearing a sleeveless dress and their SO's suit jacket.

That dress is stunning! With all the lace and the open back I think it's fine for summer.

I don't think it's too winter-y at all! No matter what season, that dress is gorgeous!

Re: Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
I don't think its right for a summer wedding. I have a very similar dress closed back with 3/4 sleeves. It is a very pretty flattering dress.

Re: Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
I love this dress and if you wore like a nude or pinkish nude shoe I think it could work. The dress is soooooo hot!!

Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
I rented that dress (or a VERY similar Nicole Miller lace dress)!! I don't remember mine having an open back, so maybe it was a little different... I wore it to my work holiday party last year!
I think you could get away with it for a summer wedding as long as you kept the shoe very summery!

one of my good friends is a professional stylist. She works with a lot of celebs. I just showed her this pic. She said too wintery.

Re: Is this too wintery for a summer wedding?
I LOVE it, but I think anything with sleeves (even if they're sheer) is too wintery. But I'd get it anyway and wear it someplace next year!

I love it but I think the long sleeves are a NO for the summer wedding. It is beautiful tho! I'd save it for a fall/winter event.
