is this true?

someone told me that your body is more fertile after a D&C? But I think they are just saying that in hopes it will make me feel better.

Has anyone heard of this?

yes, i have heard of this. there are some women who got prego very soon after D&C. Good luck!

I've heard it too, but don't know if it's true. I had a m/c in Feb 2007 and didn't conceive again until Sept 2007 (that pregnancy was my ). I had another m/c in August 2010 and am still TTC.

I don't believe it... I had a D&C in July & we're still trying to get preggo... everyone told me that too so I had hope but I'm still waiting...
The first time I got preggo it was my third cycle so it wasn't that long... now I'm on cycle 5 and still nothing (after the D&C).

Everyone is different I guess... I hope it happens for you quickly.

from what i have heard yes BUT a lot of doctors tell you to wait - like mine did. so if the first 3 cycles post d&c do make you more fertile i am SOL b/c my doctor advised us to wait 3 cycles before trying again.

i know i can still try anyway but my DH wants to follow doctors orders to the T. she explained why she wants us to wait and even though i don't want to wait i do think it is better if we do - also i am afraid she'll yell at us if we get pregnant before 3 cycles

I had a miscarriage in Sept. 2008, followed by a D&C, waited one cycle and got pregnant on the second cycle. I had a beautiful, happy and healthy baby boy in August of 2009. It seemed to be true for us!

I don't know if its true, but I had a late m/c in March of 2009 and I gave birth to my little girl in March of 2010. I had a D&C and got pregnant on the first try two cycles after my m/c. She was born exactly two weeks short of a year after my m/c.

I don't think it's true. I've heard it and read up on it and they say it's not true.

Yes some girls do get pregnancy quickly after a mc but other's don't. It's a give and take. And you can ovulate before your next AF which is why it's possible to get pregnant quickly after but you aren't ovulating more or anything like that. it's still the same changes I think.

ETA: I had a D&C from a missed mc at about 10-11 weeks along.... It took me 9 full months of trying to get pregnant, plus the cycle we had to wait to heal for....

In my case, YES, it's true!

I got pregnant 2x after a miscarriage without have a period.
One after a natural miscarriage and the 2nd time after a D&C.

Unfortunately they both weren't viable, the 1st miscarriage due to trisomy and the 2nd, a chemical.

well, I got pg right after my D&C. I had my D&C, and exactly 5 weeks later I had my BFP.
It was so soon after that I just assumed it was leftover pregnancy hormone showing up on the stick.
But lo and behold, it was a real, successful, BFP.

True for me. Got pregnant 2 cycles after my D&C and didn't try for the first cycle.
