Is this wrong of me
We have been TTC since Sept with a miscarriage in Nov. Last Oct my sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma. When I found out I was pregnant last time my sister was thrilled for me and she was so excited to have something positive to look forward to...needless to say she was devastated when I miscarried.
I guess my question is do you think it is horrible of me to continue TTC with my sister going through the worst thing in the world. She is constantly in and out of the hospital and the out come of all of this is questionable because it is in her liver.
Is it wrong of me not to be grieving more and postponing my life or should I just move on and hopefully she will get to meet one of my children.She is my only sister and I am a disaster but I want to bring a little happiness to her life.

I do not think you are wrong. I think your sister probably wants you to conceive and i guarantee it will give her will to try and fight her illness.
Sometimes life presents you with tragedy and joy at the same time and you are forced to handle the balance between the two. You will do what is best for you.

I agree that a little positive news would be good for the family. But dont put that pressure on yourself either just to make the mood better

I just wanted to tell you that unfortunately, my family was also affected with Melanoma and I wanted to offer my prayers to you and your family.

I dont' think it's wrong. It will probably lift her spirits. I would try and include her in all that you can when the time comes. I wish you and your sister the best.

Unfortunately this is life and you have to live it....take this as a sign to try even harder to live life to the fullest without any regrets....

I don't think its wrong of you at all.
I think your sister wants you to go on with your life, and a niece/nephew to look forward to. You are giving her hope and something to live for. I can't see how that can be bad.

You are not wrong. Go on with your life and hopefully bring some joy to the world. Sharing in your pregnancy would be a wonderful gift to your sister. Waiting for your baby is something to look forward to and is another reason for her to fight.
