Is your 3yr old's preschool every day? Which do you think is better?
As I am trying to decide on a preschool for next year I am wondering which is generally better - the programs that are every day or those that are just 2-4 days a week (some as little as 2 some as much as 4). Which did you choose and why?
Also, if your 3 yr old was not in a 2 yr old program do you think every day is too much?
Finally, my DS will have just turned 3 when he starts if that matters.
TIA!

MY son is in a 2 day a week program for 2 1/2 hours only. The school only offers 2 or 3 days. Honestly, if they had every day, I would do it. Hes ready. I thought he would cry and is the total opposite.
But its what you are comfortable with.

I chose to send her 2 days. The school offered more. I figured she has the rest of her life to go to school 5 days a week. I also enrolled her in dance 1 day a week, so really,..she has interaction with other kids 3 days a week. Next year we will bump her up to 3 or 4 days a week.

Andy goes 5 mornings a week this year, he went 3 mornings a week in the 2 year old program. I was planning on doing 3 longer days, but I knew he'd have a fit if I tried to get him to leave on the 2 days we were dropping Sarah off for 5 day pre-k. So he goes 5 days to make my life easier.

Re: Is your 3yr old's preschool every day? Which do you think is better?
My DD is in a 3 day- 2 1/2 hour per day program...
She was in a non-separation 1 hour/ 1 day a week 2 year program in the same nursery with the same teacher last year.
My thinking is that this was more than enough time for her- the focus is on play, and just getting used to the classroom... they do other activities as well- sequencing, etc... but really this is just getting warmed up for pre-k and k.
I thought a five day week program would be too much for her- 3 is rather young, and DD is on the young side of 3 (actually not yet 3, 3 in 2 weeks) so she wasn't like the kids that have been 3 since March or April- they're a little more "OK" with being seperate, etc.
They have so many years of full-week school in their future.. i just wanted her to go PT and stay "little" for a little bit longer.
