Is your child better behaved for your DH?
I work from home with no help and my DD is 4 1/2 mths old. I am always telling my DH how hard it is to get any work done with her as she is constantly whining and I have to play and stimulate her all day...she wont sit in her chair or go on her mat for me for long....
So today my husband took a half day from work and he has been taking care of her since lunch time and NOT A PEEP.........she is sitting in her chair cooing, smiling and just staring at him.....no whining...nothing.....
I guarantee you if I swap places with him she will want to get out...
He thinks he just has some knack with her ..I told him she just loves me more and wants to be with me...
But it really ***** and I know now that she has me completely wrapped around her finger.
Anyone else experience this?

oh my, mine too.
she is like that with everyone else but me.
she is going to be two in August and those terrible two's have started already.
it's so odd and frustating at the same time.

Mine are much more well-behaved for DH but he doesn't tolerate back talk at all.
Is he giving her undivided attention? That could be the difference. We also have things we need to get done while they're with us.

He is sitting with her...but he is watching T.V..not giving her eye contact all the time....but I guess when I am working I am on the phone or the computer and maybe she senses I am stressed....
DH on the other hand is pretty laid back...but then I would be too If I could sit and watch T.V

Re: Is your child better behaved for your DH?
She's probably behaving that way because she's not used to seeing your dh that much and this is new for her. He's entertaining her whether he knows it or not.
But I have the total OPPOSITE situation in my house. When dh is home...all he** breaks loose. My 4 year old gets all riled up and does and says things he would NEVER do or say to me. I know it's because he's excited to see his dad, but c'mon! And my 1 year old fusses! I think because of all the commotion with his older brother. I always tell my dh, I love when you're home...but I hate it!

joenick you are probably right as she is mesmerized by him....I asked him if he had given her a sedative he replied "no she is just in awe of me like all the ladies"
