Is your house a bus stop for kids? Do you have a garbage issue?
Between getting robbed and this, I want to move, lol
I know they aren't the most important issues but it's the little stuff that can be irksome!
My house is a bus stop for a large group of middle schoolers...about 12 - 15. They stand on the corner, on my lawn, but I don't mind that, I don't want them in the middle of the road or anything.
I have noticed garbage in this particular area where they stand...has anyone had any issues?
I'd place a garbage can for their use, but the ones we usually keep out are nearby anyway, if they wanted to use it.
And besides, who wants a garbage can on their front lawn? lol
any tips/advice/experiences welcomed!

I don't know if the garbage can will help. We were having issues with middle schoolers at the bus stop a block away. They were screaming at the top of their lungs (at 6:45 am) every morning and they were waking me up. I went down to the stop one day, found out what school they were going to from the bus driver and called and spoke with the dean. I haven't heard them since.

I would talk to kids about it tomorrow morning. Tell them they can use your garbage can but they CANNOT throw garbage on your lawn.
It is worth a shot

It would really irritate me that they were in front of my house every AM!

That seems to be the best solution to try at first. Talk to their bus driver or the school - someone who actually has authority over them. if you put out a garbage can for them then you're almost encouraging their behavior. If you speak to them directly, you're putting yourself at risk for any number of potential problems. I think speaking to the school is the right way to go

yeah i might just contact the school...i never thought of that...
i hate complaining about them, as they seem like nice kids...they aren't rowdy, the girls stick together, and the boys stick together...i never hear them in the morning, that sorta thing.
and i'm not ashamed to admit that i am scared of teens these days.
i fear retaliation!

How about a tiny nicer garbage can tied to a tree. Like real small but still good. Then just ask them nicely to not leave the garbage. They aren't all monsters... just my niece (I kid, see my 'I'm old' post).
