Is your nursery overwhelmed by furniture?!
Our furniture just arrived today and now I'm at a loss as to where it will all go! Are you setting up just one crib initially? How long can they stay in one crib together?

I set up both cribs at first, as we were undecided as what to do with them. They came home 4 weeks apart so they slept in seperate cribs from when they came home, since they never saw each other after birth.

We only have the one crib set up in the nursery right now but once the 2nd one is in there, its going to be soooo crowded.

Re: Is your nursery overwhelmed by furniture?!
We have two spare bedrooms one smaller than the other but both are a good size (the larger one is bigger than any master BR).
Since it's twins they will be in the big room, one crib initially, one dresser, changing table, glider and maybe a bookcase... if I can't do the bookcase I'll do shelves high up on the wall for books and a toy chest underneath. It's a big room but it will be crowded with all of that and two cribs.
Can you forego the dresser and put drawers in the closet for now?

our furniture comes tomorrow. We have a pretty decent size room , but will be crowded with 2. I will put both cribs up and will put them in separate cribs when the time comes.

Re: Is your nursery overwhelmed by furniture?!
we have 2 cribs, a double dresser, and a round night table. I think we will keep the glider in our bedroom possible along with a crib at the end of our bed?
Instead of a changing table we are just getting the changing table top.
What is/did everyone do for the bassinet?

Re: Is your nursery overwhelmed by furniture?!
We have currently converted our closet(it's double wide) into a changing area alcove so we put the changing table in there. We also have a 5 drawer dresser and the glider/ottoman strategically placed. We're going to set up both cribs for now and just use one for the time being. I feel like it's going to look a hospital nusery with cribs parallel but I think it's the only way to do it. I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this!

My friend's twins are almost 8 months and are still sharing(they were preemies) they weigh roughly 17 lbs and 14-15. They will probably move into their own soon.

Re: Is your nursery overwhelmed by furniture?!
Our nursery is so tiny!!! It is going to be wall to wall furniture. And I laugh b/c it doesn't matter what color we paint the walls b/c you won't be able to see them! When we have just the one crib it won't be so bad but with two it will be very crowded in there. Oh well!
